Passport Photo ID MakerPrivacy Policy

Effective 16 August 2026 · Applies to the Passport Photo ID Maker iOS app only

In short

  • Your photos are edited on your device and are not uploaded to PixelNest servers for this functionality.
  • PixelNest does not operate an account system for this app and does not store your pictures.
  • The app includes analytics, advertising and subscription SDKs that process technical and device information — these are separate from your photos and are listed in the Privacy Policy.

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Passport Photo ID Maker ("the app"), published by PixelNest, handles information. It applies to this app only — other PixelNest apps process information differently and each has its own policy.

We have tried to write this in plain language and to be specific rather than reassuring. Where the app relies on a third-party service, we name it. Where information does leave your device, we say so.

If anything here is unclear, write to us at help@pixelnest.co.in.

2. Scope of this policy

This policy covers the Passport Photo ID Maker iOS application. It does not cover the PixelNest website, which has its own policy, and it does not cover third-party services you reach through the app.

3. Information the app may process

The app handles two quite different categories of information, and we think it is worth separating them clearly rather than blending them into one list.

  • Content you create or supply — photos and images you take or import. Photos you take or import are edited on your device. PixelNest does not receive, store or transmit those images as part of providing the app's photo editing features.
  • App and device information — such as app version, device model, operating system version, language and region, general usage events within the app, and diagnostic data when something crashes.
  • Advertising information — such as advertising identifiers and information used to select and measure ads, subject to your device settings and any permission you grant.
  • Subscription status — an anonymous identifier and information about which subscription entitlements are active, so the app knows what to unlock.
  • Attribution information — app install and in-app events used to measure which marketing activity led to an install.

The first category stays on your device. The remaining categories are handled by third-party services described below.

4. Information the app does not collect

PixelNest does not collect the following through this app:

  • Your photos or edited images
  • Your photo library contents
  • Your name, postal address or identity document details
  • Any account credentials — the app has no sign-in and no user accounts

PixelNest does not ask you for your name, email address, postal address or phone number in order to use this app, and does not operate a user database for it.

This section describes what we do not do. It is not a claim that the third-party services listed below collect nothing — they are described honestly in their own sections.

5. Storage on your device

photos and images you take or import are stored in the app's own storage area on your device, which iOS keeps separate from other apps.

Deleting the app removes that storage. If the data matters to you, export or back it up before you delete the app or move to a new device.

PixelNest does not operate a server that holds a copy of this data, which also means we cannot restore it for you.

6. Third-party services

The app integrates the following third-party services. Each is operated by a separate company under its own privacy policy, and each receives only the categories of information described here.

RevenueCat

RevenueCat manages in-app subscriptions and keeps track of which entitlements are active on your device, so the app knows whether to unlock paid features.

Payment is processed by Apple, not by RevenueCat and not by us. RevenueCat does not receive your card number, and neither does PixelNest. It processes an anonymous app user identifier along with purchase and entitlement information from the App Store.

Google Firebase

The app uses the following Firebase services: Analytics and Crashlytics. Only these are integrated.

  • Analytics — records app events such as screens opened and features used, together with general device and app information, so we can see which parts of the app people actually use.
  • Crashlytics — sends a diagnostic report when the app crashes, including the device model, OS version and a stack trace, so we can find and fix the fault.

Google AdMob

Free use of the app is supported by advertising served through Google AdMob. To select and measure ads, AdMob may process device identifiers including the advertising identifier, approximate location derived from your IP address, and information about ad interactions — the specifics depend on its configuration and on your device settings.

On iOS, personalised advertising that uses the advertising identifier requires your permission through App Tracking Transparency. If you decline that prompt, the identifier is not available to the app and advertising should be non-personalised. You can review this at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking, and limit ad personalisation in Settings › Privacy & Security › Apple Advertising.

Where required in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a consent prompt is presented before personalised advertising is enabled, and your choice is passed to the advertising service.

AppsFlyer

AppsFlyer provides attribution and marketing measurement — it tells us, in aggregate, which marketing activity led to app installs. It may process device and app information such as device identifiers, install events and in-app events, according to how it is configured and the permissions available on your device.

Meta (Facebook) SDK

The Meta SDK is used for advertising measurement and attribution. It may process device information and app events such as installs and purchases so that advertising campaigns can be measured.

It does not receive photos and images you take or import.

Apple

The app is distributed through the App Store. Apple processes downloads, and all purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. We receive aggregate sales and download reporting from Apple; we do not receive your payment details.

7. Analytics

Analytics is used to understand how the app is used in aggregate — which features get opened, where people stop, and what breaks. It is not used to identify you personally, and we do not attempt to link analytics events to your real-world identity.

Analytics events do not include photos and images you take or import.

You can limit what is available to analytics and advertising services through iOS settings, including Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking and Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.

8. Advertising

The app displays advertising, which is how the free version is funded. Ads are supplied by the advertising service named above, not by PixelNest, and we do not choose which individual ads you see.

Advertising services may use device identifiers and related information to select and measure ads. Your App Tracking Transparency choice governs whether the advertising identifier is available to the app.

We do not provide advertisers with your content, and we do not sell your content to anyone.

9. Subscriptions and payment processing

The app offers an optional paid subscription. Payments are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. PixelNest never sees or stores your card number, bank details or billing address.

RevenueCat receives purchase and entitlement information from the App Store so the app can tell whether your subscription is active. This is tied to an anonymous identifier rather than to your name or email address.

You manage, change or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID account settings. PixelNest cannot cancel or refund an App Store subscription on your behalf.

10. App Store purchases

All purchases made in the app are transactions between you and Apple. Apple processes payment, issues receipts, and applies its own terms, privacy policy and refund process.

PixelNest receives confirmation that a purchase or subscription is active. We do not receive your payment method details.

11. Data retention

Content you create in the app stays on your device for as long as you keep it there. You control it: delete individual items in the app, or delete the app to remove all of it. Because we do not hold a copy, that deletion is final.

Information held by the third-party services listed above is retained according to each service's own retention schedule, which is set by that company rather than by us.

PixelNest does not operate a database of users for this app, so there is no account record for us to retain or delete.

12. Data security

The app relies on the security model iOS provides: app data is sandboxed from other apps, and access to your device is protected by your device passcode and biometrics.

No security measure is absolute. Data on a device that is jailbroken, shared, unlocked or compromised is at greater risk, and no app can fully protect against that. We do not claim the app is impenetrable.

Network requests made by the app and its third-party components use encrypted connections.

13. Children's privacy

This app is not directed at children and is not intended for use by children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

The app displays third-party advertising and is rated accordingly on the App Store. Parents and guardians can use Screen Time and Family Sharing on iOS to control which apps and purchases are available on a child's device.

If you believe a child has provided personal information through this app, contact us at help@pixelnest.co.in and we will look into it.

14. International processing

The third-party services described in this policy are operated by companies based in various countries, including the United States. Information handled by those services may be processed on servers outside your own country, where data protection law may differ from that of your jurisdiction.

Each of those companies is responsible for the lawful basis and safeguards applying to its own processing.

15. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal information relating to you — for example rights of access, correction, deletion, or objection to certain processing. Which rights apply to you depends on your jurisdiction.

Some choices are directly in your hands on the device, and these are usually the fastest route:

  • Delete content within the app, or delete the app, to remove data held on your device.
  • Change your tracking choice in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking, and limit ad personalisation in Settings › Privacy & Security › Apple Advertising.
  • Contact a third-party service directly to exercise rights over information it holds, since that company is the one holding it.
  • Write to us at help@pixelnest.co.in with a privacy request and we will respond.

Please note the practical limit: where PixelNest genuinely holds no copy of your information, there is nothing for us to retrieve, correct or delete, and we would only be able to point you to the relevant third party.

This policy is provided for transparency and is not legal advice. We have not obtained any compliance certification, and nothing here should be read as a claim that the app has been certified under any particular data protection framework.

16. Camera and photo library access

The app asks for permission to use your camera and to read from your photo library so that you can bring a picture into the editor. iOS controls these permissions, and you can change or withdraw them at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security.

Granting access lets the app read the image you select. It does not give PixelNest access to your photo library, and the app does not send your library contents anywhere.

17. Printing

When you print, iOS hands the image to a printer you have set up on your device or network. PixelNest does not act as an intermediary and does not retain a copy of what you print.

18. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when the app changes — for example if a third-party service is added or removed. The effective date at the top of the page shows when the current version was published.

Material changes will be reflected here before or at the time the corresponding app update is released. Continuing to use the app after a change means the updated policy applies.

19. Contact

For any question about this policy, or to make a privacy or data request relating to Passport Photo ID Maker, email help@pixelnest.co.in.

PixelNest is an independent app developer. We do not publish a postal address; email is the way to reach us and we read everything that comes in.
